Hi,
I know similar thread has already been open. I have got WLED ESP32 Music Addressable LED Strip Controller and now I wish to add a physicall wall switch (on/off) to the controller to turn on and off LED strip. I know WLED supports it and have tried generic online tutorials with presets and connecting GND and assining either one of the DATA or DCLK pins as a switch GPIO. This procedure provides me no desired result. In another thread I have noticed use of the IR GPIO as a switch? Is it possible to just use one of the DATA or DCKL GPIOs as a switch? Lastly, if all this is not possible, how do I manage to wire controller and a switch to work together?
Thank you.
All DAT and CLK channels are outputs, so it cannot be used as a switch input. It is possible to use the IR GPIO to connect the switch, or you can buy the controller in the link below (recommended solution)
